00 Start from Split port.
40 Vis town arrival: The tourism on Vis began to develop significantly with the demilitarisation of the island at the beginning of the war (1991-1995) in Croatia. So, it has been only around 20 years ago that both the island and its town opened for the visit of tourists. The remains of the military objects in the northwest and northeast part of the Bay of Vis are the witnesses of the stay of the Yugoslav Army.
00 Smokova bay, our first swimming stop of the day. Smokova bay is simply the best beach for swimming by our opinion. It can hold dozens of boats of all sizes and and it is a perfect refuge from jugo (southern) wind or maestral (north western). It is a popular destination for all boaters but it was not crowded because there are more ”popular” beaches and bays. A curiosity of Smokova is that one can still see part of a WW2 bomber wing at the sea bottom.
40 Pakleni islands, lunch stop in Palmižana. Traditional Palmižana cuisine is known for its seafood specialties, based on fish, lobsters, scampi, shellfish and other seafood served with fresh vegetables from the island gardens. The cuisine has been declared one of the best in the Mediterranean by the German Magazine Boote, English Traveler and Croatian magazines Gloria and Playboy.
00 Hvar town, an ancient town where you can walk up to the Fortica fortress and enjoy views of Hvar and the islands around. Hvar is also known for its parties and it is the town with most sunny hours in Croatia.
